With its 165 W, Xiaomi's new external battery focuses everything on power
If Xiaomi today announces a plethora of smartphones brought together within its Redmi range (the Redmi Note 14, 14 5G, Pro, Pro 5G, Pro+ 5G), the brand nonetheless offers a vast ecosystem of devices complementing its mobile. Among them, external batteries whose catalog it enriches with a model called 165W Power Bank 10000. A small name which has the merit of immediately making its interest understood.
This external battery unsurprisingly displays a capacity of 10,000 mAh divided into four cells of 2500 mAh each. And for good reason: it not only charges devices of all kinds quickly, and up to 165 W, but also charges itself at high speed. Xiaomi thus signals its compatibility with a power of 90 W. We still note some subtleties: these 165 W correspond to the combined output power when two devices are connected to the battery. It actually delivers 120 W using its integrated USB-C cable, and 45 W if you plug in an additional cable, for a total of 165 W. Note that the Xiaomi 165W Power Bank 10000 is compatible with various protocols (Power Delivery up to 3.0, PPS, QuickCharge up to version 3.5, Apple 2.4A), which notably authorizes its use with laptop computers.
As noted above, the battery includes a USB-C cable in a case measuring 143 x 48 x 36 mm and including a small 0.95 screen to monitor the progress of the charge. It still weighs 318 grams, or a hundred grams more than 10,000 mah models, and in particular than the Xiaomi 33W Power Bank 10000 presented simultaneously (but not exceeding 33 W). The power therefore has more of a weight than a price, since you only have to count on €49.99 for this model. The 33 W version, without screen, is priced at €25.
