Tesla sells off its Model Y before the arrival of the restyled model
Potential Model Y buyers may be tempted to wait for the facelifted version to arrive, especially since it was made official in China. However, Tesla uses discounts to maintain interest around its goose that lays the golden eggs.
The Model Y Long Range Propulsion by far the most interesting
Thus, the brand announces a discount of €4,000 on all Model Ys, with the exception of the entry-level Propulsion version, valid for delivery until March 31, 2025 inclusive. The cheapest model therefore becomes the Long Range Propulsion version, which is also the one with the best autonomy with a range of 600 km (WLTP). It is offered at the discounted price of €42,990, all before the application of the ecological bonus the amount of which is now between 2000 and 4000 €. Depending on customer income, the price of this version oscillates between €38,990 and €40,990.
The price of the basic Propulsion version remains at €44,990 excluding bonuses, without much interest therefore, while the Long Autonomy model with all-wheel drive is displayed at €47,990 discount deducted, which keeps it above the maximum threshold of eligibility for the ecological bonus (€47,000 excluding options). The price gap compared to the Model Y Grande Autonomie Propulsion is therefore very significant for this four-wheel drive version. It's all the more a shame since this Dual Motor version is the only one to be offered in configuration seven seats ; an additional option now billed at a high price of €4,000. Finally, the Model Y Performance is priced at €53,990 once this “Tesla bonus” is applied, but still without an ecological bonus.
The marketing of the restyled Model Y has not yet been announced in Europe. As a reminder, this phase 2 adopts a style that is quite different from the original model as well as the Model 3, including a light strip at the front and rear. Inside, this upgraded Model Y receives a cabin similar to that of the facelifted Model 3. It also improves its range by a few kilometers thanks to a more aerodynamic profile, among other technical improvements.
