It was made official in China at the end of last year, which gave us the opportunity to take it in hand. The Magic 7 Pro from Honor, a premium smartphone succeeding the Magic 6 Pro from 2024is making its debut in France today. The brand is announcing its availability from January 15, at a price similar to that of its predecessor: it therefore costs €1,299 in the 12/512 GB version, the only one sold in France.
Honor intends to seduce with the help of a classy technical sheet. The smartphone thus offers a 6.8-inch Oled screen (LTPO, 1280 x 2800 pixels announcing a light peak of up to 5000 cd/m²), but also a chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and a 5270 mAh battery (silicon-carbon) accompanied by charging at 100 W. If the smartphone wants to be powerful and stylish, it mainly focuses on its photo component: this is based on three back modules, the main one relying on a 50 Mpx sensor flanked by a wide-angle lens with variable aperture (f/1.4-4), the second, on a 200 Mpx sensor (telephoto lens equivalent to 69 mm, f/2.6) and the third, on a 50 Mpx sensor (with an ultra wide angle). This equipment is supported by a generous dose of AI and is intended to be at the cutting edge of photo capture.
Finally, let us point out that Honor announces an improvement in its software monitoring, set at five years of Android updates, and six years of security patches. However, we note that the Magic 7 Litepositioned in the mid-range and available for a few days in France, benefits from six years ofupdates Android.
