Robotic arms even in floor cleaners. While he showed a robot vacuum cleaner at CES endowed with an intriguer — but not so singular if we take a look at Roborock — retractable arm for storing light objects, Dreame today presents a floor scrubber that it says is also equipped with an arm. The technology of this H15 Pro, however, has little to do with that of the robot. In this case, it is rather a retractable squeegee which complements the brush.

A brush edge to edge… on edge?

This squeegee runs from one end of the brush to the other widthwise, and automatically lowers in front of the roller when the broom is pulled back. It should therefore allow less water to be left on the floor during cleaning for accelerated drying, but also to catch waste along the walls, even if this second use seems a little less relevant to us. The H15 Pro inherits the “edge to edge” design introduced on the H12 Pro brush, so you simply turn it and run it along the walls to clean, as long as space allows. This should therefore be especially useful in cramped spaces.

Note also that Dreame's latest cleaner also promises to go under furniture by lying completely on the ground, like the H14 Pro, but they still need to rest on feet at least 14cm high to the body and 9.6cm for the brush.

Increased power and extended battery life

The H15 Pro should also remove hair that gets tangled around its brush using a soft scraper, and it also promises increased suction power compared to previous models – Dreame announces 21000 Pa, compared to 18,000 for the H14 Pro – while offering extended autonomy. Its batteries should allow up to 60 minutes of cleaning, or 20 minutes more than with the previous model, without taking water into account, however. The tanks can hold 780ml of clean water and 700ml of dirty water… when used vertically. Dreame advises not to exceed 480 ml of dirty water while lying down.

Finally, the H15 Pro benefits from a new station which should improve the automatic washing of the brush by immersing its fibers over their entire length in a bath, or rather a bottom (24 cl), of water at 100°C. The brush can then be dried at 90°C for 5 minutes or, for less noisy drying, at 85°C for 30 minutes.

The new Dreame floor cleaner will be available from February 17, at the recommended retail price of €699.
