Won or Lost (Disney+): the Pixar series unveils an exciting new trailer

It is one of the series events of the year 2025and an important chapter in Pixar's rich history coming to the Disney+ streaming service next February 19.

The series Win or Lose is in fact the very first original series from the Luxo lamp studio. A necessarily unmissable event, which has just offered us a new trailer, which naturally raises our expectations.

A softball game like no other

Win or Lose (Win or Lose in original version) tells the story of a softball game through the points of view and feelings of eight characters riddled with doubts, fears and anxieties which will materialize visually.

From children feeling bad about themselves to parents who are too involved in the game, including a loving referee, the series promises to translate like never before the thousand and one thoughts that cross our minds in our everyday lives. And how all of this is ultimately just a way of perceiving reality.

Co-written and co-directed by Carrie Hobson (story artist on Elementary) and Michael Yates (storyboarder on Toy Story 4 And Drunk notably), Win or Lose has all the trappings of a Pixar production, right down to its themes.

The series thus resembles an exciting variation around the concept of Vice Versawhile offering a new narrative structure. Note that the music is also by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld).

As said in the preamble, if Pixar has already produced numerous programs derived from its films – Welcome to Doug, Dreams Productions Or Monsters and Co: At Work – Win or Lose is the studio's very first original series. A project which is therefore very important and very special for the creators of Toy Storyand which fans (like us) are obviously looking forward to.

Made up of eight episodes, the series Win or Lose will be available in full on February 19, 2025 on Disney+.
