Sports photography is often not given much prominence in international competitions and festivals. However, it is a photographic specialty in its own right which requires numerous skills and real talent. It is primarily aimed at sports enthusiasts, but it reaches a much wider audience. Omnipresent, it can be found both in the specialized and general press, as well as on social networks.

With the major sporting events taking place in 2024, starting with the Olympic Games, we have all been spectators of sports photography at one time or another. And it must be said: the sports photographers amazed us!

La photographie de sport est souvent assez peu mise en avant dans les compétitions internationales et les festivals. Pourtant, il s’agit d’une spécialité photographique à part entière qui requiert de nombreuses compétences et un véritable talent. Elle s’adresse d’abord aux passionnés de sport, mais elle touche un public bien plus large. Omniprésente, on la retrouve aussi bien dans la presse spécialisée que généraliste, ainsi que sur les réseaux sociaux.

Avec les grands événements sportifs qui se sont déroulés en 2024, à commencer par les Jeux olympiques, nous avons tous été, à un moment ou à un autre, spectateurs de photographies de sport. Et il faut bien le dire : les photographes sportifs nous en ont mis plein les yeux !
