A film lasting more than 3 hours?
Cameron spoke to our colleagues at the magazine Empire about the progress of the post-production of Avatar 3explaining that he is happy with the progress made so far.
"I think the film is on very good track," said the filmmaker. “We have doubled the number of shots that are completed at this stage of the project compared to what we did on the second part, and the two films are approximately the same length. So that means that we are in advance, which is honestly something that has never happened to me before.“

The director also took advantage of his interview with the British magazine to emphasize that this new opus on Pandora will take spectators in a direction they do not expect. Cameron thus promises ever more spectacular action and visuals, but also a more complex plot:
“What excites me as an artist who just turned 70 and has made these kinds of films before is not just the opportunity to do it again, it's to elevate the “plot and characters on a level you haven't seen in an Avatar movie yet.”
