The French Rowenta and the Chinese Narwal are joining forces to release a new floor cleaner on the French market: the X-Clean 10. Rowenta has already released a floor washer, but this time, the brand is counting on the help from another manufacturer, also an expert in floor maintenance.
An unprecedented Franco-Chinese collaboration
We didn't necessarily expect it. Rowenta has announced that it is releasing a floor cleaner in collaboration with Narwal. The collaboration is first of all surprising. Indeed, Rowenta has already offered a floor scrubber. Why then rely on the help of a third-party manufacturer to release a new device?
This collaboration primarily serves Narwal. Thanks to Rowenta, it benefits from a new market: the French market. Narwal is in fact not very well known here and its establishment needs to be done, while Rowenta benefits from its historical reputation.
The X-Clean 10 was born from a collaboration between Rowenta and Narwal.
In exchange, the French manufacturer benefits from the technologies of the Chinese soil expert. The X-Clean 10 then benefits from Narwal's AI DirtSense. The floor cleaner is then able to adjust “the water flow and suction power depending on the dirt level”. This automatic mode then manages the cleaning settings alone.
A floor cleaner with an original design
The X-Clean 10 also stands out from its competitors thanks to its clean water tank. Even more, it's its location that stands out. Not located on the handle of the broom, it is positioned at the back of the washing head and is also different from floor cleaners having their tank directly on the head – like the Tineco Stretch S6.
With a capacity of 790 ml, it should in any case be large enough to avoid numerous trips to the water point.
It comes with a second water tank – dirty this time. It is also massive: it has a capacity of 670 ml.
The manufacturers have chosen to place the clean tank at the rear of the washing head.
Thanks to this configuration, Rowenta ensures that it would be the lightest washer to handle. In any case, to wash the floor, the X-Clean 10 can count on its extreme maneuverability which allows it to lie under low furniture and take sharp turns without worry. Its roller should also follow the obstacles as closely as possible, without leaving a gap of a few millimeters.
More traditionally, an anti-tangle system prevents hair from getting tangled. Finally, a self-cleaning cycle rinses the microfiber roller and dries it in 30 minutes.
The X-Clean 10 floor cleaner is already available at a price of €600 and it should quickly arrive within the walls of our laboratory.
