The White Lotus (Max): the HBO series already renewed for a season 4

The HBO channel is starting 2025 decidedly full of optimism. Four short weeks before the release of season 3 on Maxthe series The White Lotus has in fact just been offered an early renewal.

Filming planned for 2026

As relayed by our colleagues from Varietyseason 4 of The White Lotus has therefore officially received the green light from HBO.

The channel (and subsidiary of the Warner Bros. Discovery group) is responsible for the series Game of Thrones, The Sopranos or even The Last of Us is also aiming to launch its production during the year 2026. For a release in 2027?

No information has been revealed on the destination of this season 4 or on the potential return of certain actors, but we know that the creator of the series Mike White had already been able to present several of his ideas to HBO boss Casey Bloys in November last.

As a reminder, The White Lotus is an anthology series that chronicles the vacations of wealthy clients in the hotel of a paradise destination… until this happiness and this veneer of facade cracks and reveals dark truths.

The first season took place in a luxurious hotel in Hawaii, while the second took place in Sicily. Season 3, scheduled for February 17 on the Max streaming servicethis time places its protagonists in a Thai hotel. The series also has a knack for always offering prestigious castings.

Since its release in 2021, The White Lotus has enjoyed exceptional public and critical success, receiving no fewer than 15 Emmy Awards. The series has become one of the crown jewels of the HBO channel, and this early renewal confirms that it intends to extend this beautiful honeymoon.

The third season of the series, consisting of eight episodes, is broadcast from February 17, 2025 on Max. This time we find in the cast Walton Goggins, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible), Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and even the Frenchwoman Charlotte Le Bon.
