manages to build one, using promises, threats or exchanges, will obtain both victory points and advantages.
The Fort will make the player's soldiers more powerful, making it easier for them to survive enemy attacks.
The Cathedral will extend the life of peace and strengthen the power of the churches.
The Port will make it easier to send resources to Spain, increasing the number of resources that can be sent and the VPs received to do so.
The Governor's Palace (Cabildo) will give free workers that can be used to construct main buildings and increase the number of victory points obtained for affiliates.
Characters and Affiliates
At the start of the game, each player receives a character card and during the game they can hire many affiliates! Each affiliate card fulfills multiple functions: it is worth victory points, it has an effect to use during war and another during play.

Getting the best combinations and exploiting them at the right time will be the difference between victory and defeat!

Boat to Spain
During the game, players can load resources onto the ship which will sail to Spain at regular intervals. When he returns, he will provide metal and victory points to those who contributed. Space on the ship is limited, and the sooner you get there, the better you stay!

The war
When the tension with the Indians or the pirates reaches its limit, a war will break out! In the next game round, players will have to deploy their troops, whether simple workers or veteran soldiers, and help them with affiliates to defeat the attackers and protect their neighborhoods in the city! The war takes place on the appropriate board during the normal game turn.

End of the game
The player who scores the most points over the last decade will be the winner of the game! Thanks to the numerous possibilities for scoring points, there will never be one dominant strategy and each game will be unique!

Please note: In the description of the material in the rulebook, 6 Pirate figurines are indicated (6 Filibusters, 4 Captains) which are not included in this box (they are, however, in the Collector's version of Trinidad). These miniatures are not required to play, and only serve as cosmetic replacements for Indian figurines in certain specific cases when using the optional advanced combat module.
