Microsoft should launch two new more compact surfaces than usual
It has been confirmed for a few days: A Microsoft Surface event will be scheduled for January 30 next. Microsoft officially teased it, except that this event will be mainly dedicated to models dedicated to companies. But obviously, this does not prevent the American giant from working on new models for the general public, if we are to believe a new rumor relayed by the serious publication Windows Central.
The Snapdragon X range in the spotlight
According to Windows Central, Microsoft plans to unveil two new devices from the Microsoft Surface range, more compact and with ARM processors. One of them would be a surface pro model, while the other would be rather dedicated to lovers of more traditional models. Despite a more compact design, internal sources at Microsoft have indicated to the English -speaking publication that the American manufacturer nevertheless wishes to preserve the premium quality and “feeling” of the surface range, trying to make the microsoft surface pro 11 inch a direct competitor to The 11 -inch iPad Pro. There should therefore be no compromise on the performance side.
The more traditional Microsoft Surface will aim to replace the Laptop Go surface: this new model should provide a backlit keyboard as well as a screen with better resolution (and touchscreen). And then there are the processors: on this side, Microsoft would plan to use the entry -level fleas of the Snapdragon X series, namely the Snapdragon X and Snapdragon X Plus. All this should allow Microsoft to offer not too expensive models, without making too large compromise on the performance side. It remains to be determined when these rumors will be verified (or not).
