
Alien Earth (Disney+): a creepy new teaser for the sci-fi series of the year

You trembled before Alien: Romulus ? Prepare to break out in even more cold sweats ahead Alien: Earthseries from the franchise Alien which this time places its story very close to home: on Earth. Waited on Disney+ this summer, the show is revealed a little more today through a new teaser which reveals the crash of the monstrous Xenomorph on the blue planet.
The arrival of a terrifying threat
FX (which produces the series) and Disney+ (which will be responsible for broadcasting it in France), are currently rather stingy with images of the new series Alien: Earthbut the closer we get to its release this summer, the more this spin-off of the science fiction franchise should reveal itself.
Thus, a new teaser and a new poster for the series showing the ever-threatening Xenomorph have been posted online and in these images, the alien is violently thrown aboard a spaceship which is heading straight towards Earth.

As the synopsis of the series indicates, it is once this mysterious device crashes on our planet that things will go wrong, because “a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that brings them face to face with the greatest threat on the planet.”
They will then have to fight to survive but also decide what to do with this discovery which could change planet Earth forever.
Alien: Earth therefore marks the first time that a story in the franchise takes place mainly on our planet. The action takes place in 2120, two years before the events of the film. Alien, the eighth passenger by Ridley Scott.

Noah Hawley (Fargo), who developed the series, even suggested to Deadline that the presence of the Xenomorph on Earth will be most frightening:
“It's particularly chilling to think of this creature moving among us, and I can't tell you under what circumstances you'll see it but it will, and you lock your door that night.”

On the distribution side, Alien: Earth is worn by Sydney Chandler (Don't Worry Darling), Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Alex Lawther (The End of the Fucking World), Essie Davis (Mister Babadook), Samuel Blenkin (Black Mirror), David Rysdahl (Fargo), Adarsh Gourav (Guns & Gulaabs), Babou Ceesay (Rogue One), Jonathan Ajayi (Vigil), Erana James (The Wilds), Lily Newmark (A gentleman in Moscow), Diêm Camille (Alex Rider), Adrian Edmondson (The 3-body problem) and Moe Bar-El (Tehran).
Images showing this casting in action are still rare, but should become more and more frequent as the series approaches, scheduled for this summer on the Disney+ streaming platform.
