Concretely, the dysfunction manifests itself by the appearance of a blocked blue triangle on the watch screen, a symbol which is normally displayed at start -up, but which, here, remains blocked. Users then find themselves incapable not only to start an activity, but also to return to the home screen, which makes the use of the watch almost impossible.

Faced with this problem, Garmin reacted quickly through a banner on the support site. The company identified the defective calibration file and immediately updated the latter. Garmin recommends the following steps to try to solve the problem:
- Restart of the watch: Press and hold the power button until the device goes out, then turn it on.
- Synchronization with Garmin Connect: After restarting, synchronize the watch with the Garmin Connect application to update the ephemeris file.
If the problem persists, complete reset of the watch may be necessary. In this case you need to press and maintain a specific button (usually the upper left button) for about 30 seconds, until the watch completely restarts. This action gives the watch to its factory state, without leaving any trace of your previous configurations. Be careful therefore, since this action will reset all the parameters of the watch.
