HDMI 2.1, the audio, Dolby Atmos, etc., the sound bars have commonalities

If they stand out by their formats, these bars of its reasonable tariff positioning have absolutely identical connectors and connectivity. You can first count on an HDMI 2.1 EARC port with 4K/120Hz resolution support and an optical entry for more versatility. Musical broadcasting takes place by means of a 5.4 Bluetooth receiver (5.3 for the B8200) compatible with the audio standard. A low latency and a possibility of Auracast chaining with other Philips audio products would therefore be on the program.

In addition, each soundbar is compatible with the Dolby Atmos, DTS: X and DTS Virtual X formats in order to operate a virtualization of three -dimensional audio content. The control of the three iterations is carried out as well via the remote control provided and by the Philips Entertainment application (iOS and Android).

These new bars of its Philips are distinguished by their acoustic conceptions and their dimensions. Each model also offers a finish granted to the TV for which it is recommended.

Philips B8500: a 5.1 model with surround channels

The most upscale sound bar in the series, the B8500 fits ideally in front of an OLED810 and Mled950 TV thanks to its 90 cm length and its 6 cm thickness. It is based on a 5.1 architecture composed of 3 5.7 cm wide strips largely arranged on the front and two 5 cm side channels dedicated to the surround effects. The set is completed by a wireless subwoofer raising its total power at 300 Watts RMS. The latter can also be placed horizontally for questions of aesthetics or acoustics.

Philips B8200: ultra fine design for discreet integration

Noticed for its extreme finesse, with a height of 3.7 cm and a width of only 4.2 cm, the B8200 sound bar can be placed under a very low support TV without hiding the screen. Equipped with magnets, it is also specially designed to fix it on one of the feet delivered with an OLED850 TV. Of type 2.1, its architecture is more modest than that of the B8500. Each channel still benefits from a tweeter and a wide strip speaker powered by an amplification of 60 watts. The subwoofer included has a power of 120 watts and includes two speakers. Like that of the B8500, it can be positioned horizontally or vertically.

The brand evokes a 2.1 design, within which an amplification of 80 Watts is responsible for supplying two 5.7 cm speakers. Its wireless bass box, meanwhile more traditional than that of the B8500 and B8200, delivers a power of 120 Watts.
