SFR now offers 5G on all its mobile packages, from € 5.99
5G has so far been a privilege reserved for large packages. If you wanted to take advantage of it, you had to get your hands on the wallet, often around € 20 per month. But that was before. SFR has just turned the rules of the game upset by integrating 5G to all its packages, even the smallest. Result: an ultra-fast connection accessible from € 5.99 per month.
SFR makes 5G accessible to all subscribers from € 5.99
With this decision, the operator now offers 5G plans (very high speed therefore) from € 5.99 per month, where other players still maintain a distinction between 4G and 5G offers. Concretely, this means that a mini price package provides access to latency streaming videos, download in a few seconds and enjoy fluid navigation, including on the most congested networks.
For consumers, that's all profit, since it is possible to choose a cheap package without giving up speed. For example, SFR now offers:
- Package € 5.99 per month (€ 1.99 for box subscribers): 2 hours of calls + 1 GB of data.
- Package € 19.99 per month (€ 14.99 for box subscribers): 140 GB of data.
SFR sends a clear message: 5G is no longer a luxury, it is now accessible to everyone, regardless of the price of the package. A decision that could push its competitors to review their strategy. For the moment, Free, Orange and Bouygues have not yet generalized 5G on all their offers.
What about competition?
Even if prices and packages fluctuate regularly, at Free mobile, For example, 5G is available on its package at € 19.99, without a change of price after a year. Bouygues Telecom, through B & youdisplays a 5G offer of 200 GB at € 9.99, whileOrange is positioned with a 100 GB package at € 16.99, but which climbs more than € 30 after six months.
For their part, certain virtual operators such as Syma (SFR network) or Youprice (Orange network) also break prices, with substantial data envelopes for less than € 10. Soshthe Low-Cost of Orange subsidiary remains only positioned on 4G.
If you want to switch to 5G with an operator, while keeping your current phone number, you must get your RIO code (operator identity statement). To do this, simply call 3179 from your mobile phone. A vocal server will communicate your RIO code to you as well as your end of engagement date.
