Power and AI

Via this new iteration, we first find the key element of high -end Android models for this year: the chip Snapdragon 8 Elite. We are talking about an announced performance gain of approximately 40 % (CPU, GPU and NPU) compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 of Zenfone 11 Ultra.

With the added bonus of 16 GB of RAM LPDDR5X and 512 GB with UFS 4.0 storage, Asus has its ZENFONE 12 Ultra from AI, whether locally thanks to the Meta LLAMA 3 8B model or via the Cloud. In terms of features, we find the now traditional summary of documents and web pages, the real -time translation of calls, the textual transcription of conversations or Seek.

IA features cut for video are also there: ai tracking to follow a subject, ai Portrait Video 2.0 betting on the Bokeh and Ai Voice Clarity effects to reduce ambient noises and focus on voices. Unsurprisingly, photo retouching by artificial intelligence is also on the program.

Ultra, but not compact

If Asus has long been resisting, up to ZenFone 10 (less than 6 inches!), The time of the compact zenfone is indeed over. ASUS today assumes the choice of a large format, already adopted by the ZenFone 11 Ultra. The newcomer therefore inherits from its predecessor an OLED display of 6.78 inch at the 120 Hz refresh rate (144 Hz for video games), announcing a brightness of 2,500 cd/m² and benefiting from a screen protection Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Behind him hides a 5,500 mAh battery with a quick fired load at 65 W and wireless at 15 W, also characteristic inherited from Zenfone 11 Ultra. Nevertheless, Asus brings some new features to its smartphone, and in particular to the radius of images capture. The Taiwanese employs the Sony Lytia-700 (50 Mpx) as a main sensor, and associates it with optical stabilization that it promises improved by 66 % if compared to that of His predecessor. A 32 MP telephotctive module with X3 optical zoom and optical image stabilization, and an ultra-wide-angle of 13 Mpx complete this block which, as often in Asus, mainly targets lovers of motion videos, thanks to the treatment provided to stabilization. The on -board selfie camera has 32 Mpx.

Available from this February 6, 2025 to € 1,099.99, the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra is available in green, black and white colors. Note that an immediate discount of € 100 is offered from participating resellers during the launch period, until February 28.
