Avidsen Homecam Dual Ptz: an affordable camera to monitor two areas at a time
The Dual PTZ HomeCam recently enriched the range of Avidsen outdoor surveillance cameras. French company specializing in video surveillance, we also find it behind Philips cameras as The Welcomeeye Lookbut it is therefore in its own name that it offers the model that interests us today. And as often at Avidsen, the Dual Ptz Homecam does not intend to revolutionize the sector. Rather, it follows the big trend of the moment with its two objectives, while appearing at a more than affordable price since it is launched well below 100 €.
Contrary to The duo 3 Or The Argus 4 Pro From Reolink, the Dual Ptz Homecam does not merge the images of its sensors to expand its field of vision. It works rather in the steps Cruiser Dual d'Imou Or from the H9C of Ezviz With a lens mounted on a motorized block to follow the movements while the other always keeps an eye on the same area. The motorized block should also be able to monitor several areas by making “patrols” on pre -recorded positions.
Too bad, Avidsen does not evoke a difference in focal lengths to offer a closer view of the motorized lens, but it promises 2K images which should at least allow you to zoom in a little if necessary. The two objectives are also associated with infrared LEDs for the night. Projectors are also planned, but the manufacturer rather evokes the possibility of lighting them to dissuade the intruders. A mermaid is also part of the game, in addition to a microphone and a speaker to discuss. A microSD slot finally allows you to record the images locally and without additional cost.
The Dual Ptz Homecam therefore seems to be a fairly complete camera, even if we could have expected a little better on certain points, such as protection against bad weather. Other models are IP67 certified, against IP44 only for it. This should nevertheless be enough in most conditions and, above all, it seems to us to be a small sacrifice if it is that allows Avidsen to offer its camera at € 69.90. It is already available.
