Canal+ still removes two new services from its subscriptions
Canal+ continues its reduction in services, and this time, two platforms are disappearing from its offer: Lizzie and Izneo. Announced in a sober press release published on its site, the closure of these two services will take place on March 12, 2025, without further details.
For subscribers, this means the end of access to a catalog of audio books and digital comics, which nevertheless constituted an asset to diversify the supply of the chain.
Canal+ withdraws Lizzie and Izneo from its subscriptions
Lizzie, launched in 2019, made it possible to listen to an audio book for free every month. It was a service rather appreciated by those who were looking for an alternative to Canal+video programs. Izneo, for its part, offered access to thousands of comics and manga, with the possibility of reading several titles simultaneously. Two services that enriched the Canal+ experience outside of classic television programs.
But this is not the first time that Canal+ has reduced the wing. Some time ago,Disney+ announced its break with the chainafter several months of partnership. Even earlier, it was Télérama who left the offer. In parallel, other services, such as Passpresse, have done the same. It becomes difficult not to see a disturbing tendency, a slow gala of Canal+ of partners who brought diversity to its subscriptions.
The subscribers, of course, are starting to ask questions. Do these successive closures draw the future of the chain? Canal+ does not seem to offer any alternative to compensate for these disappearances.
Canal+ offers several subscription offers adapted to everyone's needs and budgets. The basic offer is available from € 19.99 per month for 24 months, then € 32.99 per month. This formula gives access to all Canal+channels.
