Limbo's scenario places the player in the shoes of an anonymous boy, evolving in a dark and hostile world, a kind of purgatory between life and death as a deserted and abandoned world: we recognize many times what seems look like a forest, a factory or a city.
The characters he meets throughout the game try either to kill him or to flee, unless they are simply dead. The adventure leads the player through town, factory and forest, in a monochromatic and scary universe, from start to finish, the remaining unknown goal to a certain point of the game.
