Android: these smartphones are now prohibited in France, here is why
The ANFR emergency degrees from the market Ulefone Note 16 Pro and Oukitel WP28 – Two affordable smartphones Sold in particular on Amazon – after having noted an exceeding the regulatory limits of the specific absorption flow (DAS). The owners are invited to bring them back.
Dis sills outdated
The DAS measures the amount of electromagnetic energy absorbed by the human body when using a mobile phone. European regulations set a strict limit to 4 W/kg for the DAS located “member”-that is to say for direct contact with the skin. However, the tests carried out in the accredited laboratory revealed worrying overruns:
- Ulefone Note 16 PRO: 4.78 W/KG
- Oukitel WP28: 4.06 W/KG
Retraction of the market and compulsory reminder
Faced with these results, the ANFR has summoned the two companies responsible for marketing (Tesskoni Tech and Bogdan Constantin Ecobici), to rectify the situation. In the absence of adequate response, the agency has taken firm measures: immediate withdrawal from the sale and recall of the units already marketed.
All distributors, whether physical or online, must comply with this directive without delay. The ANFR has also announced reinforced checks to ensure that these phones are no longer available on the French market.
