The new Leica Summilux-M 50 F/1.4 is not really a novelty, but rather a kind of reissue. The first model was marketed in 1959 and was the first Leica objective of the Summilux range, a name which is derived from the Latin “Summa Lux” and which means “maximum light”. He therefore joined the Leica Classic line alongside the Summaron-M 28 f/5.6, Thambar-M 90 F/2.2, Noctilux-M 50 F/1.2 Asph. and Summilux-M 35 f/1.4. This is a vintage look goal with modern modern optical technologies.
