By deploying this February 25, 2025 a variation for iOS (iPhone and iPad) of Photoshop in the App Store, Adobe finally arrives in the already well blocked sector Mobile image editing applications. However, this is free, but offers an optional subscription in order to have additional features. Let's see what it is exactly about, while Android users will have to wait until “later this year”, their version being still under construction.
Adobe Photoshop on iOS: between free and subscription
From the outset, Adobe specifies that the interface of its iOS version has nothing to do with the one on a computer or on the web. The central features are despite everything, such as the tools to create images and designs (layers, masks …), replace or delete elements, or generative filling via the Firefly. This new application is also integrated with Adobe Express, Adobe Fresco and Adobe Lightroom.
To go further, if the user does not already have a Photoshop subscription which incorporates this iOS version, it is possible to subscribe to the Photoshop Mobile and Web subscription. This allows not only to pass in a fluid way between your work on iOS and the web version of Photoshop update for the occasion, but also to take advantage of advanced tools.

We will notably note the selection and the targeted adjustment, the advanced color correction, more features linked to artificial intelligence, or even compatibility with all Photoshop formats.
