After an obvious flop with the general public, the Apple Vision Pro seems to have found its target. Dassault Systèmes and the Apple brand announce a partnership with Portage on Vision OS of the 3DLIVE application, which offers interactivity with replicas of virtual objects.
The pro vision has finally found an audience
The pro vision is struggling to seduce the general public. Sold at 4,000 euros and equipped with a limited application catalog, it offers few arguments to attract the average user, especially facing Meta Quest 3, available for a price eight times lower. However, the Dassault Systèmes company would have been seduced by the capacities offered by the mixed reality headset of Apple. This announced a version for visionos of its 3DLIVE application, which will be integrated into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
We are delighted to collaborate with Dassault Systèmes to provide the 3dexperience platform with space IT capacities, allowing engineers and designers to give life to their 3D creations like never before.
This platform is designed to allow companies to collaborate on all aspects of the development of a product: design software, engineering applications, physical simulations, etc. In this sense, 3Dlive allows you to manipulate objects modeled in 3D with several and in real time.
Developed in partnership with Apple, this application should be available in the summer of 2025. Pending, Dassault Systems has published this video which already demonstrates the usefulness of this technology through a promising overview.
