Xiaomi cuts the cord of his animal fountain with the Smart Pet Fountain 2

After having declined its kibble dispenser connected with a very convincing second iteration, the Smart Pet Food Feeder 2Xiaomi is once again back with this time a second connected animal fountain. Let's see what the aptly named Xiaomi Smart Pet Fountain 2 offers, in particular compared to his previous version.

Lots of improvements for a mild price

Offered at € 60, compared to € 80 for the first version, the Xiaomi Smart Pet Fountain 2 seems at first glance, however, do everything better. First of all, its water tank goes from just under 2L to a comfortable 3L. The set is therefore slightly more bulky, especially in depth (190 x 230 x 180 mm).

It is also impossible not to note the fact that this time is a wireless fountain. A USB-C cable is obviously provided for wired use or to recharge its 4,000 mAh battery capable of holding 100 days in theory. This will obviously depend on the frequency of use of the pump. The latter can actually operate continuously, intermittently, or automatic when the motion detector identifies an animal.

Via the Xiaomi application, in addition to some settings, it is possible to follow the condition of the battery and to be alerted when the fountain lacks water. Light diodes are also there on the fountain to inform different statutes. Silent and designed to be easy to wash, the Xiaomi Smart Pet Fountain 2 again has a home filter to purify the water.
