Netflix Go well, thank you for him. In any case, the latest figures in the streaming service covering the second half of 2024 strongly suggests. Its 302 million subscribers – This is the last figure in the fourth quarter of 2024 – spent 94 billion hours before its content between July and December.
Beyond this increase of 5% compared to the same period the previous year, other elements are interesting to note.
Squid Game attracts crowds
First of all, Netflix can certainly thank its successful Korean series, Squid game. Unsurprisingly, thanks to the arrival of its expected season 2, this is the most watched series of the platform in 2024 according to Netflix measures: 86.5 million views.
This number, which is worth what it is worth, is obtained by dividing the total viewing hours (here 619.9 million hours) by the duration of the program. A result, all the more impressive as season 2 of the show was posted on December 26, therefore leaving only a handful of days to accumulate views in 2024.

Behind Squid gamewe find A perfect couple (75.1 million views, for 383 million hours), Monsters: the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez (69.7), season 4 ofEmily in Paris (57.8) and Nobody Wants This (56.8).
Side moviesthe podium is occupied in order by Carry-on (137.3 million views for 274.5 million hours),The Union (131.1) and Rebel Ridge (129).
If many Netflix works (15,663 more precisely) accumulated at least 100,000 views during the second half of 2024 (only 29% passed the million views), it appears clear that the service is number one in the sector thanks to its main licenses. The top 1% of series and films (where there is not surprisingly a majority of original Netflix content) represents 22.32 billion hours of viewing, while the top 10% brings 64.1 billion hours, or 68% of the total.

A good number of views is not enough
Another interesting element from the latest Netflix figures concerns the series Kaos. The latter, however 20.3 million views in six months, wins the palm of the most watched show yet canceled after a single season.
After a solid start to almost 10 million views during its first week, the series carried by Jeff Goldblum did not find a second breath sufficient to convince the platform of renewing it.
