History and situation
CDesigned by famous architect Hermann Tilke, the Circuit de Catalunya was originally built as a test track for the Spanish automobile industry but quickly became a popular venue for motorsport events. Since its first Formula 1 race in 1991, this place has positioned itself as one of the best permanent circuits! Its privileged location, in Montmeló, a few kilometers from Barcelona, also allows it to offer a multitude of options of great tourist appeal.
