Demons and Wonders
The legendary Japanese saga Shin Megami Tensei, which gave birth to the Persona series, arrives on Nintendo Switch with an exclusive fifth episode.
Overnight, a Tokyo high school student finds himself sucked into another dimension, a post-apocalyptic version of the city he knows in which he has no reference points. To survive in this place of desolation, he must accept the only solution available to him: merge with a demon to gain access to his powers and be able to face the enemies who stand in his way. In this traditional Japanese role-playing game, combat takes place on a turn-based basis. The twist? Demons are not only your enemies, but can be recruited to join your ranks. Better yet, they evolve and can even be merged with each other to form the ultimate team.
The future of Tokyo and the world rests in your hands in Shin Megami Tensei V, exclusively on Nintendo Switch starting November 12, 2021.
When everything changes
A high school student living in Tokyo and leading a rather banal life, our hero's life is turned upside down as he is sucked into another dimension, a post-apocalyptic Tokyo called Da'at where a merciless war is taking place between angels and demons. To survive, there is only one solution: accept the proposal of a strange creature who offers his help to merge with her and become a Nahobino, a half-human, half-demonic creature who can face the other demons who populate Da'at.
Revisited turn-based battles with distinguished guests… demonic!
- Founding formula of J-RPGs, turn-based combat allows the player to choose and plan the attacks of the characters he controls before suffering enemy attacks, taking into account the basic affinities of the adversaries you will encounter (vulnerability to ice, semi-resistance to lightning, etc.)
- To strengthen your ranks, the demons that stand in your way can be recruited! Some by engaging in discussion with them, others by indirect means that you will have to discover…
- Once recruited, these demons can gain experience like you and even be sacrificed during a fusion, where two demons disappear to form a single new entity with exclusive abilities.
A breath of fresh air on the series
- For the first time in the series, the adventure also takes place outside of the labyrinthine dungeons, with more open environments and some exploration phases.
- Practical for managing combat and knowing where to venture, enemies appear in front of you when you control the hero, leaving you the choice to face them or not to try to gain experience.
