The new ASUS ROG Phone 9 will be one of the first to use Qualcomm's new chip
The night was particularly intense with new information, particularly related to Qualcomm's official reveal of its brand new chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. To better take advantage of the announcement effect, ASUS took advantage of the event to reveal that its next ROG Phone 9 will be one of the very first to benefit from the new processor. On the program for this new smartphone: gaming, as usual, but also a lot of artificial intelligence.
An official reveal on November 19
In addition to the usual premium gaming-related performance expected for a ROG Phone, this year's model also places emphasis on artificial intelligence: for its marketing, ASUS has in fact chosen the slogan “AI on, Game On”, which suggests that the model will offer particular features in the field of artificial intelligence, thus taking advantage of the more efficient NPU of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. At this time, we do not yet know the details of these new features.
However, based on various leaks, other characteristics of the ROG Phone 9 are already known: this new model should have 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage, while supporting a recharge of 65 W (as much as its predecessor). Thus, ASUS has given the appointment to discover more about this ROG Phone 9: it is November 19, that is to say in a little less than a month. This will then be an opportunity to discover the new features planned by the firm on the AI and gaming side, but above all to determine how ASUS intends to make the most of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Note that ASUS is not the first company to have announced that it will benefit from this new processor: the OnePlus 13, Xiaomi 15 Ultra Or Realme GT 7 Pro should all benefit from it very soon as well.
