OnePlus 13: the Chinese firm confirms certain technical aspects
All the upcoming information in this article has already been covered through leaks that have taken place over the past few months. So in reality, we don't have much more to discover about the OnePlus 13 when it goes on sale on October 31 (i.e. Thursday). So, it starts with the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in this new model, despite the legal vagueness surrounding the situation affecting ARM and Qualcomm.
A large battery & a screen suitable for all outdoor situations
Furthermore, OnePlus confirms that the OnePlus 13 will have a very large 600 mAh battery, coupled with fast charging of 100 watts wired, and 50 watts wireless charging. Note that this is an improvement of 600 mAh over the previous model. According to OnePlus, a full charge would allow you to watch 11 hours of video without interruption, and browse the internet non-stop for 7 hours in total.
On the other hand, OnePlus confirms that its new flagship will be compatible with Wi-Fi 7, to meet market standards. Indeed, most new smartphone models are now compatible with the new standard, even if still few users can take advantage of it (not all operators necessarily offer it at the moment). OnePlus is also planning improvements to the NFC sensor of the OnePlus 13.
At the same time, the Chinese firm has confirmed the return of the Alert Switch function, so popular in the past, with its three modes (silence, vibration and ringtone). On the screen side, the OnePlus 13 will benefit from a 2K screen with 8T LTPO technology from BOE. This new panel will also have the “Glove Touch” and “Rain Touch” functions, which essentially allow you to use the smartphone screen if you have a glove, or if you want to use your smartphone outdoors while it is raining. The screen will also be flat, unlike the curved models offered in the past by the firm.
