OnePlus Open 2: the technical sheet of the new foldable model leaked

This is not the first time that we have discussed the OnePlus Open 2 in these pages, and for good reason: the leaks have not stopped for several months. Thus, last July, we already reported on the large battery that would be offered by the OnePlus Open 2without giving its size with more precision. On the other hand, in September, we addressed the fact that this new foldable model could well be the thinnest on the market. Today, a lot of new information is coming out about its technical sheet, in particular thanks to a regular leaker, the Weibo user Digital Chat Station which is not its first attempt in the field, and has proven to be rather reliable in the past.

A substantial battery and a triple 50 Mp photo sensor

So, according to this leak, the OnePlus Open 2 should offer roughly the same design as its predecessor. However, it should offer a bigger screen and better battery. He speaks of 5700 mAh, which far surpasses the 4805 mAh present on the first OnePlus Open. On the other hand, this new model should support wireless charging, a feature that was sorely lacking in the first smartphone in the range. It is also mentioned that this OnePlus Open 2 should feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

On the camera side, this new foldable model should offer three 50 Mp sensors improved by Hasselblad, in the purest OnePlus tradition. As a reminder, the current OnePlus Open offers a 48 Mp main sensor, a 64 Mp telephoto sensor and a 48 Mp ultra-wide-angle sensor. The sensors should therefore be more powerful overall. As a reminder, the OnePlus Open 2 should be released in China first, under the name Oppo Find N5, from the beginning of 2025. It will then be renamed and offered under the name OnePlus Open 2 in Europe shortly after.
