It offers 3 predefined operating modes: silent, normal and performance.
The connectivity integrated into this laptop is good, consisting of 1 USB-C, a practical HDMI video output to easily connect it to a monitor or TV for example, Ethernet and audio ports, Wi-Fi wireless modules. -Fi 6 ax and Bluetooth 5.1 for remote connections and communications as well as 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers up to 5 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are connected.
Good point, the chiclet keyboard benefits from a backlighting solution. We can therefore activate it whenever we need to better distinguish the keys.
The screen benefits from viewing angles, both horizontal and vertical, thanks to its IPS technology.
Full HD, the screen adopts a 16:9 format which lends itself well to video playback combined with an anti-reflective coating that is more restful for the eyes over a long period of time than a glossy panel and is more readable in a bright environment (e.g. outdoors).

The Acer Aspire 5 A517-53-795X (NX.KQBEF.008) is a relatively thin, large format laptop PC intended for everyday use equipped with a powerful processor.
It is in fact powered by an Intel Alder Lake Core i5-12450H processor with 8 hybrid cores and integrated Iris Xe graphics module where the vast majority of models at this price level use a low consumption processor.
The Core i5-12450H is particularly interesting in areas that are intensive in processor resources using multi-core, such as photo editing or video editing. Under this type of work, processing is carried out more quickly than with a classic Quad Core for example.
The Core i5 is associated here with an amount of RAM of 8 GB. Too bad, however, that it is made up of 2 strips of 4 GB of RAM. If you need to increase the amount of RAM to be more comfortable with multitasking or processing for example, you will have to offload one of them…
The storage is up to it since it is entrusted to a classic solution, namely a silent, energy-efficient, robust and fast SSD to provide great responsiveness and fluidity on a daily basis.
Thanks to the SSD, starts/stops, processing and launching applications are particularly fast, and you can quickly access online game cards.
It is in fact possible to view photos and HD videos but also to play light games thanks to the Iris Xe.
Coming back to the SSD, it is a 512 GB model, a capacity similar to that found in many models on the market – including much more expensive ones.
If you need more space, you can rely on an external storage unit. Favoring a USB 3.0/USB-C device then represents an interesting solution to benefit from fast transfers.
As for autonomy, count on around 6 hours of battery operation in light use for this thin 17-inch computer whose weight is controlled, but which is by nature not the most nomadic there is.
However, some in search of Student laptop large format with a powerful processor might be interested.
