Honor Magic 7 Pro: a smartphone that promises to be faster, more durable, and more intelligent
Faced with fierce competition, Honor continues to invest in the ultra-premium smartphone market with its just unveiled Magic 7 series. After a Magic 6 Pro successful and a Magic V3 finer than ever, this new vintage offers notable improvements in both hardware and software features. With its muscular technical sheet, the Honor Magic 7 Pro has serious arguments to establish itself among the best smartphones of 2025.
The Honor Magic 7 Pro adopts a modern look, with a flat metal frame and the use of drop-resistant Rhino Glass. The 6.82-inch Amoled LTPO screen, which hides an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, promises a maximum brightness of 5000 cd/m², an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz, and integrates visual comfort technologies, such as PWM dimming at 4320 Hz to reduce eye fatigue.
The device benefits from the power of the new processor Snapdragon 8 Elite from Qualcomm, supported by RAM ranging between 12 and 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1 TB of storage. A configuration that allows the Magic 7 Pro to respond to any use, and to run a good number of tools boosted with artificial intelligence, improving photography and the capabilities of the virtual assistant.
The circular photo block of the Honor Magic 7 Pro accommodates an ultra-dynamic 50-megapixel main sensor with variable aperture (f/1.4-f/2.0) with optical stabilization, complemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle ( f/2) and a 200 MP periscopic telephoto lens (f/2.6), offering x2 optical and digital zoom up to x100. On the front, we find a 50 Mpx (f/2) selfie camera associated with a ToF depth sensor for 3D facial recognition and an improved bokeh effect.
The smartphone benefits from a third generation silicon-carbon battery, with an increased capacity of 5850 mAh. This battery is compatible with 100 W wired and 80 W wireless fast charging. Finally, Honor also announces an IP68/IP69 certification guaranteeing its resistance to dust and splashes of hot water.
Already available in China and delivered under Android 15 with the MagicOS 9.0 interface, the Magic 7 Pro offers advanced AI functions, such as the YOYO assistant, capable of intelligent interactions and detection of fake video calls. The company further confirmed that its Magic 7 series will be released everywhere else, without further details. Although its predecessor was launched during the MWC 2024 in Barcelona, there is no guarantee that it will be the same in 2025, especially since manufacturers have gotten into the habit of bringing their calendars forward in recent times.
