One UI 7: huge leak reveals everything you need to know about the update
The days follow one another and are similar: yesterday, Wednesday October 30, we discussed a leak allowing us to discover the unprecedented fluidity planned with One UI 7. On this Thursday, October 31, Halloween day, the publication AndroidHeadlines decided to scare Samsung by sharing a plethora of leaks allowing you to get a better idea of the features planned by the new major One UI update. There is plenty to do!
Samsung adds new parental controls
With One UI 7, Samsung completely changes its parental control feature. Now parents can block their children's access to certain sites. A function also allows you to check their location in real time, to be sure that they are actually coming home from school, for example. This will limit the need to obtain a third-party application to carry out this type of maneuver.
New icons, redesign of the home screen
Visually, One UI 7 intends to differentiate itself from its predecessors: first, the lock screen should be a little more customizable, by allowing the installation of new widgets accessible without having to unlock the smartphone. On the other hand, many native app icons (like settings, camera, clock or contacts) have been visually reworked to appear more modern.
Artificial intelligence at the heart of change
If artificial intelligence is not new on Samsung smartphones, this One UI 7 update brings many changes to give it a feeling of newness. Thus, Samsung smartphone users will be able to use the Circle To Search function to get help with school problems. So, by surrounding the problem, the feature will give you a list of videos and explanations that will help you solve the exercise yourself, rather than automatically giving you the answer.
Still on the subject of artificial intelligence, Samsung is adding various new photo-related functions. First, there will be the “Live Effects” function, which allows you to add depth to photos. It will also be possible to use artistic effects generated by artificial intelligence on portraits. Finally, the AI Zoom tool should offer always clear photos, even if zoomed to x100.
For its part, the Sketch to Image function (which allows you to obtain an image from a rough drawing) will benefit from new functions, including the possibility of creating an image in 3D Cartoon, watercolor or sketch. Note that this leak also addresses an overhaul of Samsung's Energy Score, its health function, which should allow its users to be “more aware of the effects of the applications on health and in daily life“.
