The FC 7 had made a very good impression in our laboratory. On paper, this new version, the FC 8 Smart Signature Line, differs little from it; except that the broom is now connected. In fact, by connecting to the Kärcher Home & Garden application, the user can personalize the wash by adding a surface (PVC, marble, linoleum, etc.) or by precisely choosing the rotation speed of the rollers and the flow rate. water – on five levels each. Concretely, it is possible to create a cleaning mode for the bathroom, for example, by setting the parameters to the maximum to remove product stains littering the floor.
In addition to these personalized modes, the Kärcher offers three other standard ones, already pre-set. To find your way around, an LCD display equips this new FC 8 Smart Signature Line at the handle level and displays the selected setting.

An LED ramp is also installed on the front of the Kärcher washing head and highlights dust and waste that is trying to camouflage itself. As such, the German floor cleaner slides perfectly under furniture and slips between obstacles thanks to its pivoting head.
In addition to new features, the FC 8 Smart Signature Line retains its past attributes. Top of the list: its four rotating rollers and two water tanks – 400 ml for clean water and 200 ml for dirty water. Kärcher seems to opt for the same configuration as that of its predecessor, namely installing the dirty water tank under the washing head; This obviously makes us think of Dyson WashG1.

Finally, the manufacturer claims that these rolls are machine-washable at 60°C. However, for the good health of washing machines, it is never good to insert objects of this type into them. We therefore advise you to wash them by hand from time to time and to use the mop's self-cleaning function after each use.
