Windows 11: a new update will allow you to see the consumption of your device
In order to allow all its users to use their computer in the most efficient and economical way possible, Microsoft is preparing to add a functionality allowing them to check the consumption of their device under Windows 11. The news was revealed by the account X @thebookisclosed, particularly famous for revealing various information about Windows 11 in the past. The information can therefore be considered reliable.
Keep an eye on consumption
Thus, Albacore or @thebookisclosed was able to discover a whole new section in the Windows Settings application: the latter, named “Energy Usage”, is available in the “On/off” submenu. In the latter, it is possible to see not only the current battery level, but also a graph allowing you to get a better idea of the energy consumption of your device.
Windows 11 will be getting an energy usage graph to complement the existing battery level graph ⚡🔋📊
The feature is still in early development w/ battery level data being used for both graphs. The design is already a little different though 🖌️ pic.twitter.com/eahs7olua3— Albacore ☁️ (@thebookisclosed) November 11, 2024
For the moment, little additional information is known about this new feature. On the other hand, it is not the only one to have been revealed by the user of X Albacore. He was indeed able to reveal that a new feature will allow you to customize the widgets that appear on the computer's lock screen. Remember that for the moment, it is simply possible to install all Microsoft widgets on this lock screen, or remove them all. It is not possible to add just one, for example. Microsoft could therefore modify this function in a future update, with the “Your Widgets” option, which will make it possible to manage the widgets present on the lock screen a little more simply.
