The Leopard 8 also features advanced technologies and a sophisticated design. The exterior adopts a semi-closed front with lines reminiscent of a grille and a black roof panel. The doors are equipped with retractable handles. As for the running boards, they are electric. The logo on the back is illuminated. The SUV has a spare wheel with its cover. As for its towing capacity, BYD advances 2.5 tons without compromising the driving experience.
Available in 6 or 7 seater versions, the Leopard 8 focuses on a tech environment. The interior benefits from a 17.3-inch control screen, a 12.3-inch co-pilot multimedia screen and a 12.3-inch LCD dashboard. Even the rear passengers benefit from a double control panel.
But one of the major new features of the Leopard 8 is the integration of Huawei ADS 3.0 software. The system uses the General Obstacle Detection (GOD) network and CAS 3.0 (multi-directional collision avoidance) technology to avoid coming into contact with pedestrians and obstacles. The SUV parks automatically, even without a driver on board. As a reminder, another Chinese vehicle, the Xiaomi SU7, recently had automated parking.
That's not all since the Leopard 8 is also entitled to a panoramic roof, a Devialet audio system with 18 speakers, ambient lighting with 18 colors, a fragrance system, air purifying air, tinted rear windows and USB-C charging with a power of 60W. The front seats benefit from ventilation, heating and a massage functionality.
