Wednesday (Netflix): a superstar joins the cast of season 2
The series Wednesday takes care of everything. The popular program from Netflixwhose season 2 filming is currently taking place in Ireland, has just welcomed into its cast no less than Lady Gaga.
Gaga joins Nevermore
According to our colleagues at Variety who relayed the information, the singer-songwriter and actress would thus join this new chapter of Wednesday for a simple cameo. But it's not for lack of wanting to give it a more important score.
Indeed, sources report that the production of the series had planned a bigger role for the artist, but that his busy schedule – notably between his Paris Olympics show and the promotion of Joker: Folie à Deux – had not made this possible.
If the details on the role played by Lady Gaga are still kept secret, we are putting on our side a piece on a potential appearance for a musical show during the end of year ball, an event already present in the first season.
Remember that Lady Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – already has numerous films and series to her credit, including American Horror Story, House of Gucci And A Star is Bornfor which she won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2019.
She joins the central cast of the series: Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers (Enid), Hunter Doohan (Tyler), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley) and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Ritchie Santiago). Added to this ensemble is a nice list of prestigious newcomers: Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Christopher Lloyd and Haley Joel Osment.
The filming of this highly anticipated season 2 of Wednesday began last May, and is due to end in December 2024. No broadcast date on Netflix has yet been announced, but the series will certainly be released on the streaming platform sometime in 2025.
