Gemini now has its own app on iOS

We remind you: Apple Intelligence will take a little longer to arrive here, compared to English-speaking users in the United States or the United Kingdom. You will have to wait until next April to see the special functions of Apple Intelligence in France. Fortunately, until then, this does not mean that artificial intelligence is banned on iOS devices, quite the contrary. For example, the ChatGPT application is already accessible from the App Store. And now Gemini is available in the form of an application as well.

Gemini on iOS, with Gemini Live directly integrated

This new Gemini application for iOS is free, and particularly easy to use: it is simply a direct chat with Gemini, allowing requests directly from its launch. This is, in essence, exactly the same as the Gemini section of the Google app, or what you get when you access Gemini from a web browser. There is, however, something new: here, Gemini Live is directly accessible, and in French.

As a reminder, Gemini Live is the direct replacement for the Google Assistant, which offers a more direct mode of conversation with artificial intelligence. Gemini Live has been available on Android for several weeksand here it is accessible directly from an iPhone. Note that the application already seems particularly integrated into the Apple ecosystem: when using Gemini Live, the application already appears directly from Dynamic Island or the lock screen. Gemini can also directly access other Google applications that you have on your device: if you ask for directions, the artificial intelligence will send you to Google Maps.

Gemini is therefore already accessible as an application on iOS, and at the time of writing these lines,the app is the second most popular in the App Store under the “Productivity” category.
