Discover The First Board Game About Jousting – A Playful Homage to the Languedoc Jousts!

We are proud to announce the release of the Jeu des Joutes, the first board game dedicated to the famous Languedoc jousts! Born from an idea during an evening with friends in November 2023, this unique game is the fruit of our passion for this tradition anchored in Sète. After months of careful design, we are happy to present an immersive card game, combining strategy, competition and fun. The Jousting Game invites players, from 7 years old, to relive the spirit of these legendary jousts during games lasting around an hour, for 2 to 6 players.

A Game Faithful to the Spirit of Traditional Jousting
The Joutes Game immerses participants in the world of Languedoc jousting thanks to its 214 cards and 2 dice numbered from 1 to 6. Each player embodies a jouster with 102 cards divided into 17 companies, each made up of six jousters from levels 1 to 6. It's up to you to defend your men and use strategy to lead your jousters to victory!

Jury Interventions and Public Support for Maximum Tension
The intensity of the games is reflected in the 50 jury decision cards. Observe your opponents, try to eliminate their players or even disqualify them, but remain careful: certain cards allow these actions to be turned against you! Public support is also part of the game, with 62 dedicated cards. Use them to strengthen your position or, on the contrary, suffer their effects and adapt your strategy accordingly.

The Jousting Game is not only entertainment: it is also a tribute to Languedoc culture, preserving the symbols and values ​​of this emblematic regional sport. It introduces players to the rules of jousting, their traditions, and the rituals that surround this art of nautical combat, while offering moments of conviviality and intensity.

About the Game of Jousting
The Jousting Game is published by SoSeJeu. Founded in 2024, SoSeJeu is a non-profit association governed by the law of 1901, whose objective is the creation and development of board games inspired by the Occitanie region, and more specifically by the city of Sète. Based in Sète, the association currently brings together a dozen passionate members, united by the desire to celebrate and share local cultural wealth through board games.
