Cannondale Synapse Carbon 3 – Innovative roving runner with exceptional comfort
Almost no manufacturer implements the subject of comfort as systematically as the American forge Cannondale. It has been recognized that even the smallest vibrations, which permanently affect the body, accelerate driver fatigue. Conversely, this means that the more comfortable a racing bike is, the more comfortable the rider feels over long distances. The comfort concept can be implemented particularly effectively using carbon. The Synapse frame, developed according to the most modern aspects, is based on the Topstone Gravel series: intelligently placed flex zones on the rear triangle, seat tube and seat post absorb vibrations without sacrificing lateral rigidity. Since no additional suspension elements are used as part of the Synapse, its weight remains pleasantly light. Another important, but often underestimated, factor are tires. Therefore, Cannondale leaves room on the Synapse for tire diameters of up to 35 millimeters. Because: the larger the tires, the better their cushioning. Another innovation is the new Smart Sense system, with which the Synapse Carbon 3 is equipped ex factory. This intelligent light and sensor technology consists of front and rear lights. SmartSense is controlled via the Cannondale app.
Racing performance combined with versatility
With its discreetly shaped aero tubes, the redesigned carbon frame boasts speeds that can sometimes be more than relaxed. Equally discreet are the attachment points for accessories such as mudguards and racks, which make the Synapse a true all-rounder. Typical of Cannondale: Proportional-Response design ensures that the geometry adapts perfectly to the rider's height, regardless of frame size. In the Carbon 3 version, the Synapse comes with the indestructible Shimano 105 groupset. 2 x 12 gears and smooth performance make it the number one carefree groupset in the market leader's program. Low-maintenance hydraulic disc brakes also help. Other components such as the Cannondale handlebars, stem and seat have already been developing in their own laboratories for years.
