Nintendo Switch 2: a new rumor seriously brings its release date closer
Just this morning, November 26, we published a summary of information and rumors around the Nintendo Switch 2noting in particular the leaks and weekly news to which the machine is the subject. We didn't think we were saying that well, since here is already a new rumor. We hope you haven't put your tweezers away, because once again this is a leak that is anything but official.
A fairly close release for the Nintendo Switch 2?
We already know, officially this time, that Nintendo plans to announce its new console by March 2026. According to a post on the Chinese social network Weibo, translated, then relayed by a regular at leaks on X, Harukaze, Big N could well don't waste time.
What we still call the Nintendo Switch 2 for convenience could therefore be announced as early as January, then marketed in March. A rumor consistent with the official calendar, where Big N would try to sell as many machines as possible just before the end of its fiscal year. Enough to finish it in style and start the next one with flying colors.
A coherent rumor, which remains a rumor
Still according to the post, since deleted on Weibo (which means what it means: everything and nothing), for the first month of launch Nintendo is counting on a shipment of 650,000 copies, against 2,740,000 for the first Switch. The translation of the post here is not certain, and this last figure could refer to the consoles sent in recent months, which would therefore make the comparison not very useful.
Finally, there is talk of mass production of certain components since September, including more recently Nvidia's T239 SoC, already at the heart of previous rumors. And there you have it, you can put your tweezers down… until the next rumor!
