Molotov communicates about the cyberattack of which he was the victim
On November 13, the Molotov streaming TV platform was the victim of a massive data leak. In line with the Free cyberattack and, more recently, the data leak at SFR, Molotov officially returned to this episode in an e-mail sent today to his customers.
Molotov stripped of its customers' personal data
Many Molotov TV users, a legal IPTV solutionreceived an email from the eponymous company today. This reports the cyber intrusion that occurred in mid-November, a way for the platform to communicate more fully on the type of data stolen by hackers.
According to this email, some personal data was stolen:
- E-mail address
- Name
- First name
- Date of birth
Molotov states in his communication that the cyberattack concerns neither passwords nor users' banking data. The firm also indicates that the attack should not cause major consequences for its customers, but that it is nevertheless prudent to maintain a certain vigilance on common malicious practices. Molotov here refers to phishing attempts as well as conventional scams.
