TCL Projector A1: after TVs, the manufacturer is launching into portable video projectors
More and more tech manufacturers are offering portable video projectors. Today, following this trend, it is the turn of TCL to embark on the adventure with the aptly named TCL Projector A1. It is a solution that aims to be compact (2.7 x 19.3 x 26.4 cm for 2.5 kg) and versatile, and which offers “the same high-quality viewing experience consumers have come to expect from TCL.“
A reasonable solution to start
Powered by Google TV and Google Assistant compatible, the TCL Projector A1 works with the Google ecosystem. Enough to easily install applications to launch series and films directly from YouTube or streaming platforms. Featuring a retractable carrying handle that can also act as a support to adjust the projection angle on a wall, this video projector can be used indoors or outdoors.
On the image side, TCL is limited here to Full HD resolution (1080p), but offers a screen size that can range from 45 to 120 inches. An automatic image adaptation system and a brightness of 360 ISO lumens are there (which is a little less than some competitors, like the Xgimi MoGo 3 Pro). Finally, on the sound side, TCL has equipped its video projector with two 8 W speakers compatible with Dolby Audio. With its Bluetooth chip, this product can also act as a speaker, while RGB lighting on the side transforms the experience into a sound and light festival.
The TCL Projector A1 is available… in the United States
While waiting for a hypothetical arrival here, the TCL Projector A1 is being marketed across the Atlantic. It costs $500.
