Dexter Morgan is far from having said his last word. The most famous serial killer on the small screen will indeed be back soon in two new series. One is Dexter: Original Sinwhich will begin broadcast on December 13 in the United States on Paramount+. A trailer has just been posted online and gives an overview of this prequel series of Dexter.

The beginnings of a vigilante killer

Patrick Gibson plays a young Dexter in this new series, the first season of which will consist of 10 episodes and will follow the character as he joins the Miami criminal police while committing murders in his free time, in order to satisfy his most intense urges. darker.

According to the synopsis of the show which takes place in 1991, Dexter adopts, with the help of his father Harry (Christian Slater), a code designed to help him kill only those who deserve it. This code was in fact Dexter's guide in the original series and here we will therefore be a question of discovering how Harry and he put it in place.

Another important detail in these images: a look back at the end of the series Dexter: New Blood showing Dexter unconscious in the snow from a gunshot wound.

While he was presumed dead at the end of this series, this trailer then sends him to the emergency room and suggests that he finally made it. And this makes sense since Michael C. Hall will return in summer 2025 in another Dexter sequel, titled Dexter: Resurrection.

We can also see in this trailer for Dexter: Original Sin the actors who opposite Gibson in this series, including Molly Brown (Deb Morgan), Christina Milian (Laguerta), James Martinez (Batista), Alex Shimizu (Masuka), Reno Wilson (Bobby Watt), but also Sarah Michelle Gellar (Tanya Martin) and Patrick Dempsey (Aaron Spencer).

Note that if across the Atlantic the series will be broadcast on Paramount+ this will not be the case in France where it is however expected on Canal+ in 2025.
