Until now one of the most diligent brands in terms of major Android updates, Samsung is struggling with the porting of the latest, integrated into its One UI 7 update. Running Android 15, this version has only been in beta since the beginning of December, and on a handful of models.

Regarding the deployment date of the final version, everything is still uncertain. The leaker @FamilyTaes still gave an estimate on December 25, 2024, suggesting a deployment from the first or second week of February 2025.

This should therefore fall at the same time as the marketing of the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultrawhich will run natively under One UI 7. A release of the update on previous Samsung smartphones during this period therefore seems more than likely. It now remains to be seen which ones will be affected.

As a reminder, only the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra currently have the right to to the beta program. The informant also gives little hope to other devices, emphasizing that the Galaxy S23, S22, S21 or even Galaxy A will not be eligible. No expansion of the beta program therefore seems appropriate.

Therefore, everything suggests that the Galaxy S24s will work with the One UI 7 version in mid-February 2025, and that the deployment will then be done gradually on the brand's other smartphones.

As usual, Samsung would favor its flagship high-end and mid-range models before tackling the most affordable and older versions.
