In a world where wireless technology is taking up more and more space, JBL came up with the idea of improving audio connectivity. For this, the manufacturer has coupled its new Tour One M3 helmet with a radio transmitter.
Named JBL Smart Tx, this small external device takes the form of a headphone box with a touch screen. Its objective is simple: to offer “universal compatibility with USB-C or analog audio sources, such as in-flight entertainment systems, PCs, tablets or TVs.”
As a bonus, the Tour One M3 headset and Smart Tx audio transmitter benefit from proprietary interconnectivity with multiple benefits, including improved latency, stability and call quality. “significantly improved”. The touch screen also offers an interface to control the headset's functionalities: management of calls, audio playback, equalization and broadcasting to Auracast compatible devices.

In terms of headphone design, JBL remains on the same circum-aural format of the Tower One M2. Inside, there are 40mm mica transducers for “powerful bass, harmonious midrange and crystal clear treble”. To personalize everything, Personi-Fi 3.0 technology allows a hearing test via the JBL Headphones app to create the best personal listening profile.
JBL also mentions improved noise reduction thanks to its True Adaptive Noise Canceling 2.0 technology, spatial sound with head movement tracking (Spatial JBL 360), not to mention support for Hi-Res Audio and Bluetooth 5.3 . Battery life is announced at 70 hours on a charge (5 minutes to recover 5 hours of listening time).
Available from April 15, 2025 in black, mocha and blue colors, the JBL Tour One M3 will be sold from €400 with the JBL Smart Tx, €350 without the latter.
