BYD unveils an electric supercar capable of “jumping” 6 meters

Let's be clear: this is just a show of force from BYD which is banking on technological prowess. The automaker took advantage of a promotional video to show the capacity of “leap” of the YangWang U9 electric supercar.

The YangWang U9 can “jump” (but it's no use)

The video shows the vehicle traveling at 120 km/h which crosses a pool of water, metal nails then an area of ​​colored powder. For “jump”the YangWang U9 electric supercar is equipped with a DiSus-X suspension system which allows it to bounce.

For the rest of the technical sheet, the YangWang U9 electric supercar is equipped with a powertrain with a colossal power of 1,305 horsepower for propulsion from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds. The range is 456 km.

As for the design, this BYD vehicle has imposing dimensions of 4.96 meters long by 2 meters wide with futuristic lines. The rear wing has a sporty look and is strongly reminiscent of that of the McLaren Senna.

As explained previously, this “leap” 6 meters is more of an achievement to establish BYD's YangWang subsidiary as a technological player. After all, who can use this feature?

At the moment, the YangWang U9 electric supercar is up for pre-order on the Chinese market only for around €215,000. It is therefore a luxurious model, which its design and performance already indicate.
