A year ago, Samsung showed off its Galaxy Ring connected ring for the first time, the actual marketing of which had to wait another six months. While theGalaxy Unpacked event in early 2025 is scheduled for January 22, and could welcome the first elements on his heir, for the moment nicknamed Galaxy Ring 2Samsung is putting its connected device back in the spotlight.
The Galaxy Ring was initially available in nine different sizes, from 5 to 13 (American sizes), or from 49 to 70 in French sizes. To better suit all hands, the South Korean announces the availability of two new sizes: 14 and 15 (US), or 72 and 74, from this famous date of January 22. The available colors do not change: the Galaxy RIng is available in black, gold or silver. It is also entering fifteen new markets, from Japan to New Zealand, including Tunisia and Greece.
Samsung accompanies this new hardware with a software update of its Health application, which promises to provide a more detailed analysis of sleep. The update brings finer integration of the SmartThings ecosystem of connected objects, which makes it possible to add an analysis of the sleeper's environment (room temperature, humidity, air quality and ambient light). The manufacturer further indicates that calculated bedtime and wake-up times will be offered “depending on sleep patterns” of the user and their activity level during the day. Last element, sleep data will also be used to offer breathing and meditation exercises. All these functions will be deployed during an update of the Health application during the first half of 2025.
