Apple would launch an application to stay in shape in 2025
THE Apple services represent a good share of revenue for the company led by Tim Cook: $24.94 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024, with an increase of 11.92% compared to the previous year. This represents a little more than a quarter of the company's turnover for this period, amounting to $94.93 billion.
The Apple firm would also consider taking advantage of this product category with the introduction of a new service focused on well-being. Last weekend via its Power On newsletterMark Gurman actually mentioned “a coaching service powered by AI”.
According to the journalist from Bloomberg, the objective would be to “motivate users to exercise, improve their eating habits and help them sleep better”. For this, Apple would use AI and data from theApple Watch in order to “make suggestions and create coaching programs tailored to specific users”.
For 9to5Macthis new application focused on user well-being could consolidate Apple One Premium. Apple's most expensive package of services would thus be enhanced with a life coach (Apple Coach?), thus complementing the three other advantages offered by the company: Fitness+, News+ (limited to certain countries) and the 2 TB of iCloud storage.
If this new solution offers sufficient added value to users, it would allow Apple to make a lot of money by passing on subscriptions Apple One Individual and Family at Premium (from €19.95/month or €25.95/month to €34.95/month).
Concerning the launch of this new coaching service, Mark Gurman is counting on 2025. We could therefore expect an announcement during the WWDC next June, for availability at the earliest for the start of the school year with the new iPhones and Apple Watch.
