Samsung's strategy seems clear: to remain a leader in the field of innovation in one of the most competitive segments of the electronics market, namely televisions. A collaboration that should enable a whole bunch of new features

The South Korean firm has therefore chosen to partner with OpenAI in order to develop what should be the television of tomorrow: a hybrid device capable of supporting artificial intelligence technology while acting as television whenever necessary. Samsung and OpenAI are joining forces in an open partnership, in particular to integrate ChatGPT to a television for text generation, but also Dall-e for image generation or even Whisper for voice recognition.

Through this partnership, Samsung could offer better personalized content recommendations for its televisions, voice assistants, the possibility of adding multitasking or even translating content in real time. For example, we can imagine a television that would be able to respond to a user who asks which actor appears on the screen, and in what other films he has appeared. But obviously, since this collaboration is only announced today, it will be a while before we see the first collaborative AI TVs between Samsung & OpenAI.
